Our escapes into the city night were an unknown to anyone except us. As we spun through the city on my sister’s bike, the people viewing from the outside in thought we were just some crazy reckless kids as we sped past them. Streaming down the streets, mounted on spinning silver, we were a hot spot of vibrations loving ourselves red.

This is how we rationalized.

The city is a sea far more vast than my bathtub. It offered a thrill that in all its dangers was more of a safe haven to us than home.
